The goal of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science is to provide high quality instruction in mathematics and computer science and to pursue research.
The objectives of the department are:

Offer undergraduate and graduate courses and organize research activities to prepare students for leadership, scholarship, and service in computer science, applied mathematics, and math education.

Provide undergraduate math and computer courses that accommodate the needs of students in all disciplines.

Equip students with adequate math and computational skills for immediate employment and lifetime career.

Develop students’ interest and ability in research and get the students prepared for further graduate studies.
